Kybella is administered through very fine gauge needles which are similar to acupuncture needles. Patients report feeling very little discomfort during treatment. Topical anesthetic can be administered if needed. After a thorough examination of the extent and location of the fatty deposits, the injections are done in a grid pattern to ensure even distribution of the product.
The total time for a procedure is about 30 minutes. Following the procedure there may be a little redness at the injection sites which can be minimized with makeup.
